We intend to provide a few covered (and well lit) areas to play a wide variety of ''modern'' board games, and host a few large games.
If you have an awning/lights/tables/chairs, please bring them along!

We'd also love a sign or something to signify which area is the board gaming village!

Having a table on which to tabletop seems pretty key to me. I'm flying in so I can't bring anything but I'm renting a car so I can pick things up. e.g. I was thinking of maybe getting a large perspex sheet such as https://www.diy.com/departments/clear-polycarbonate-twinwall-roofing-sheet-3m-x-690mm/1778703_BQ.prd with some light underneath or fairy lights inside balanced on some of the rentable straw bales. It needs to be big enough for at least a couple of us to sit around, but this one seems a little too long to fit in my budget rental car...

The EMF2018 site is [[Location|Eastnor Castle Deer Park]], located just east of Ledbury, Herefordshire.

We are close to '''Ledbury''' station which is around [https://traintimes.org.uk/londonpaddington/ledbury/ three hours] direct from London Paddington (on [https://www.gwr.com/ GWR]) and [https://traintimes.org.uk/birminghamnewstreet/ledbury/ one hour] from Birmingham New Street (on [https://www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk/ West Midlands Railway]).

As of June 18th, tickets from Paddington are currently as cheap as £12 return. If you buy a ticket on the day, the price will be £55-89 return depending on your time of travel.

Ledbury station to the EMF site is around 5km or 10 mins drive. We will be providing a complimentary shuttle bus service between Ledbury station and the EMF site, starting no later than 11am on Friday 31st and ending no earlier than 1pm on Monday 3rd. Please stay tuned for further details on timings.

For those travelling long-haul, BHX is likely to be be most useful followed by LHR.

The site is around 13 mins drive from the M50 Junction 2.

Once you leave the motorway, follow signs towards Eastnor Castle, ignoring your sat nav which may try to take you through the town.
