= Publishing Your Village's Schedule =

For villages running talks, workshops, games, meetups, or anything else they can be added to the online schedule so that people can find them and join in. These instructions will help you get that set up.

To do that you need an ical feed of your events. If you already know what that is, grab the URL, and add it at [[https://www.emfcamp.org/schedule/external/feeds]]. If you have no idea what that means, read on, its really easy.

== Creating a Feed with Google Calendar ==

The simplest way to do this is to use Google Calendar, assuming you have a Google account go to [[https://calendar.google.com]], you should see something like this:

Click the + button above "My Calendars", and fill in some details about your village, making sure to set the timezone to GMT+1. Once that's done, add some events to the calendar.

Once that's done hover over the calendar in the list and click on the menu button to the right of the name.

Once you open the settings select to enable public sharing:

And finally scroll down until you find the "Public address in iCal format" box, and copy the link in there - you can take that link and drop it into [[https://www.emfcamp.org/schedule/external/feeds]]. If the schedule changes, or you have new events, just update your Google Calendar and the schedule will update shortly afterwards.

The EMF2018 site is [[Location|Eastnor Castle Deer Park]], located just east of Ledbury, Herefordshire.

We are close to '''Ledbury''' station which is around [https://traintimes.org.uk/londonpaddington/ledbury/ three hours] direct from London Paddington (on [https://www.gwr.com/ GWR]) and [https://traintimes.org.uk/birminghamnewstreet/ledbury/ one hour] from Birmingham New Street (on [https://www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk/ West Midlands Railway]).

As of June 18th, tickets from Paddington are currently as cheap as £12 return. If you buy a ticket on the day, the price will be £55-89 return depending on your time of travel.

Ledbury station to the EMF site is around 5km or 10 mins drive. We will be providing a complimentary shuttle bus service between Ledbury station and the EMF site, starting no later than 11am on Friday 31st and ending no earlier than 1pm on Monday 3rd. Please stay tuned for further details on timings.

The closest major airport is [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham_Airport Birmingham ✈(BHX)], which is around [https://traintimes.org.uk/birminghaminternational/ledbury/ 1hr40] by train to Ledbury station; or an hour by road.

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Airport Bristol ✈(BRS)] and [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiff_Airport Cardiff ✈(CWL)] are around 1hr40 by road, but poorly connected by public transport.

For those travelling long-haul, BHX is likely to be be most useful followed by LHR.

The site is around 13 mins drive from the M50 Junction 2.

Plan your travel to the south gate (adjacent to A438) - postcode '''HR8 1RQ''' should get you there. The entrance to the site is '''52°01'56"N 2°23'01"W''' / '''OS Grid SO 738 372'''.

Once you leave the motorway, follow the yellow AA signs to EMF, ignoring your sat nav which may try to take you through the town.
