This is a glimpse into my PhD thesis in medical statistics. Measurement </ins>error <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">in environmental and nutritional exposures are very common. Correction for those errors can be challenging. Most often in epidemiology</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">such errors are ignored leading to bias in the results. Examples include 1) measurement of blood pressure and the predicted association to later development of cardiovascular disease; and 2) usual alcohol intake and the intriguing J-shaped association with all-cause mortality.
