'''Recording format (camera)''': 1080p50 AVCHD 48khz sound (can also record 1080p25 if low light becomes an issue, but will need to transcode this up to 1080p50 for editing)
Note - additional cameras will be used as needed for timelapses, drone flight, cutaways, general views and if people find themselves getting inspired. The setup above will be expected to get the main bulk of the action.

'''Recording format (sound)''': 24 bit PCM 48Khz

* Sync video to clean audio using Dual Eyes (I have a copy of this) A free trial of [http://sur.ly/o/singularsoftware.com/download_trial.php%3Fversion%3Ddualeyes_w/AA001290 Plural Eyes] will also do the job

* SD card clones uploaded to server (read-only) + copied to local HDD

* Synced & transcoded footage uploaded to server + copied to local HDD.

'''Need to have a conversation at the outset regarding whether conversion to prores is sensible or if trascode only applies to ensuring all footage is at 1080p50.

If editing in Premiere the following may need to be downloaded to enable reading of prores files: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5744

Use these link to navigate between Sci Fi Film pages
EMF Sci Fi Film (main page)
I need to make another page for the Sci Fi Film...
To make it easier to navigate between pages about the film, I have made them into subpages. If you are starting a new page, please make sure its name starts with "EMF Sci Fi Film/" and start the page with {{Sci fi navbox}}.

For example, to start a page about Brian Blessed's role in the film, type "EMF Sci Fi Film/Brian Blessed Role" in the search bar, click to create the page, then write:

"{{Sci fi navbox}}

In the EMF Sci Fi Film, Brian Blessed is going to reprise his role as....." etc.

Setup specifics

Sound Setup:

File:Simple-audio-setup.pdf describes (with many pictures) the sound setup for a single camera shoot with external clean sound being recorded on 2 separate channels, one channel to actor via radio lapel mic, 2nd channel to wild sound or other actors via shotgun mic on boom pole. Sync via clapperboard.

This download link (350mb) has all the photos required to demonstrate a far more complicated setup rig which would allow us to send clean audio to the camera as 2 mono mixes via radio. WE ARE NOT DOING THIS.

Other kit people are bringing which can be used as needed.
